Today when I look back, I see how much I struggled with my skin. Trying all sorts of products full of chemicals that claimed to help me get a clear skin. I had acne, I had marks and blemishes, hyperpigmentation and what not. But my mom always used to tell me to not rely on these products instead try natural homemade masks, and I'd say "Mom please, these natural homemade masks won't help me". Today, I can tell you all how absolutely wrong I was ( hate to admit I was wrong but also glad). When I finally decided to give these masks made of natural ingredients found in the kitchen, I was not expecting it would make my skin so good. It was like I almost felt stupid for spending so much money and time on buying chemicals that did more harm than good.
With time I realized that it is not just about what I apply externally, but it is also about what do for my internal health like what I eat, how much I sleep, and even how I process my emotions or just trap them in my body, which later start showing up on my face.
I am going to share everything with you in this blog, for me it's more like spreading my love for all the pretty women who want to get better everyday. And since we're dedicated to make ourselves our best version ever, I am not just going to share with you the natural ingredient face masks but also the other factors you need to take in account for getting a clear and radiant skin.
Let's start by understanding the various skin types first, because you will be able to decide what you need. Don't worry I will tell you too, which face masks suits which skin type.
Understanding Your Skin Type
Go through this list and get to know your skin better so you can choose better.
1. Oily Skin
If you have oily skin, your face must feel to be or look shiny or greasy, especially in the T-zone ( forehead, nose, chin). People with oily skin can often notice enlarged pores and are more prone to blackheads and acne. If your face feels greasy just a few hours of washing, you likely have oily skin.
2. Dry Skin
Dry skin can often feel tight, rough, or flaky, especially after cleansing. You may notice dullness, fine lines, or even itchiness. If your skin feels uncomfortable without moisturizer and rarely gets oily, you probably have dry skin.
3. Combination Skin
Combination skin includes both oily and dry areas on the face. Typically, the T-zone is oily while the cheeks are normal or dry. If you notice you need oil control in some areas and extra hydration in others, you likely have combination skin.
4. Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin reacts easily to products, weather changes, or stress. Common signs include redness, itching, burning, or a stinging sensation. If your skin often becomes irritated, even with mild products, you probably have sensitive skin.

Other Factors to Consider for Clear Skin
1. Hormonal Changes
Hormones play a big role in skin health, especially during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, or menopause. Hormonal imbalances can trigger acne, dryness, or increased oil production. Conditions like PCOS(Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) can also cause stubborn breakouts. Keep a check on your hormonal health and seek medical assistance for hormonal acne.
2. Diet
We are what we eat. Everything we eat reflects on your skin. Diets high in sugar, dairy, and processed foods can trigger breakouts and inflammation. Eating fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats supports glowing, healthy skin. Staying hydrated is crucial, drink enough water daily to keep your skin plump and clear.
3. Stress
Chronic stress increases cortisol levels, which can lead to breakouts, dullness, and even skin sensitivity. Stress also impacts your sleep, digestion, and hormones, all of which influence skin health.
4. Sleep
Your skin repairs itself while you sleep. Lack of sleep can cause dark circles, dullness, and breakouts. Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night for natural skin rejuvenation.
5.Environment & Pollution
Exposure to dust, pollution, and harsh weather (like sun or cold wind) can clog pores, damage skin cells, and accelerate aging. Always cleanse your face after being outdoors and protect your skin with a scarf or sunscreen.
My Final Note
To achieve anything consistency is important. I didn't get clear skin overnight, but with necessary changes in my lifestyle and the usage of such homemade natural face packs helped me. If you follow a proper lifestyle for even one month you will start seeing changes in your skin.
Pro Tip: You can apply ice cube on your face after the application of face pack.
